Pass the Aux: Rustic Golf Provisions
Tell us about yourself and how golf is part of your life
I've been golfing for almost 25 years and during the COVID days, I wanted to pursue some sort of content creation niche and highlight the aesthetic side of golf (rather than documenting my "journey to scratch" or filming hole vlogs).
“My creative juices, combined with my interests in photography and woodworking led to the inception of Rustic Golf Provisions.”
Originally, I wanted the woodworking aspect to be a blog-style where I would do a bunch of DIY builds (ball marker displays, golf ball displays, cutting boards, etc), post some affiliate links online and inspire people to try it themselves. However, after some experimenting with laser engraved wooden bag tags, I realized there was a lot of demand for them and for that reason, I've pivoted to more a business model where I'm batching out small and large quantities for creators, brands and events across the country. It's been a lot of fun so far meeting new people and mastering the craft through these projects!
If you had a walk-out song, what would it be?
“Foreplay / Long Time” by Boston
(specifically the beat drop at 2:25)
Why did you pick that song?
I don't know what it is about this song but it always puts me in a good mood, no matter what I'm doing or how crappy my day is
Is this playlist something you would usually listen to outside the course?
Absolutely, I'd be listening to this even when I'm not golfing
What inspired you to pick these songs for your playlist?
I've always had an interest in different genres of music so if you're putting me in charge of a playlist, you never know what you're going to get. Going back to my childhood, I have vivid memories of classic rock/dad music playing in the house while my family was doing home improvement projects. As I've gotten older, my taste in music has become more diverse, thanks to what's going been on in pop culture. That's why I could go from the Doobie Brothers to 21 Savage to Lady Gaga all in a 10-minute span
